Curriculum Enrichment

At St Chad's, we believe deeply in the importance of helping our children develop as a whole person – happy and ready to take the next steps into their education and lives beyond our school. To achieve this we teach the curriculum in a dynamic and fun way that means every child can unlock vital skills that will drive their creativity. We believe every child should be given the opportunity to create, compose, perform, visit, experience, participate, know, understand and reflect. We regularly review and assess our practice to provide exciting learning opportunities and experiences within a broad and balanced curriculum. We are passionate about promoting well-rounded and self-motivated learners who love the challenge and adventure of learning.

We view community as a vital component of our school's cultural capital. With this in mind, our curriculum is built with the broader community beyond the school in mind. This takes various forms, including, but not limited to:

  • inviting in community members
  • building charitable links
  • utilising the expertise within the local community
  • arranging trips within the local area
  • arranging trips and excursions beyond the local area
  • organising whole school theme days and weeks
  • hosting extra-curricular activities
These enrichment opportunities will be shared with you through letters, in our half-termly newsletters, on our social media pages and within the 'news' section and calendar section on our website.
